This set of books establishes San Lorenzo Tenochtitlan as the most significant single factor in the rise of Mesoamericas first complex society. Vol 1 describes the archaeology of San Lorenzo and provides the only complete archaeological sequence and mapping for any lowland Olmec site. Vol 2 presents a historical and ecological study of the people of the area today, whose riverine way of life is the key to understanding present as well as past human ecology in the land of the Olmec.

Condition

Both books are very good with some wear to the base of both spines.The slipcase is worn along its extremeties and is faded along the top. The map folder has a scratch but the maps are pristine.
