The Codex Magliabechiano. Volume 1: Facsimile reproduction of ‘The Book of the Life of the Ancient Mexicans. Containing an Account of their Rites and Superstitions. An anonymous Hispano-Mexican manuscript preserved at the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale, Florence, Italy.' With an introduction, translation and commentary by Zelia Nuttall. This first volume is a colour facsmilie of the codex itself, originally published by Ms Nuttall in 1903, also by the University of California. Volume 2: The Codex Magliabechiano and the Lost Prototypeof the Magliabechiano Group by Elizabeth Hill Boone. This second volume is a scholarly commentary on the codex, bringing together all the relevant scholarship. The Codex Magliabechiano is a pictorial Aztec codex created during the mid-16th century, in the early Spanish colonial period.
