Body
1914 by Field-Marshall Viscount French of Ypres. These memoirs were ghost written by the journalist Lovat Fraser in response to attacks on French in the press in 1917. The book caused an uproar and was condemned by many. It is important to remember that French was sacked and replaced toward the end of 1915 by Haig after the failure of the Battle of Loos. Hardcover. 414pp. Three maps in a pocket at the end of the book.
